Adams Plus Flea Tick Mist Better than frontline

Adams Plus Flea & Tick Mist with IGR, 32 oz
Adams Plus Flea & Tick Mist with IGR, 32 oz Read more...

  • Also kills flea eggs and larvae for 3 months
  • Use on dogs cats pet bedding carpet and furniture
  • Kills and repels fleas ticks and mosquitoes

  • This stuff kills Bedbugs too! Kills bedbugs almost instantlyeven though they are not listed on its label. Where Pronto and Hot Shot failed for me Adams flea and tick spray worked! Highly recommended. Get the kind that says Safe for dogs and cats instead of Safe for dogs cats kittens and puppies because1. The dog/cat spray has an added ingredient which lingers and kills the eggs while keeping the young from maturing sexually.2. The dogs cats kittens and puppies version has an overwhelming perfumey smell.
Really worked Used the drops for months. Wound up with a Flea Problem. Purchased almost every type of Flea product also bombed and baths. This product proved to be the best now Toby Bear and Beatrice are Flea Free and so is my home. Moral don't be trusting of Products. Always check the pet with a flea comb no matter what product or groomer you use.
ADAMS FLEAS AND TICK SPRAY DOES NOT WORK THIS over priced flea spray doesn't work any better then the much hated flea powder. it only costs about 10 times more money. I've put this stuff on my dogs and cats and they are still covered with the flea's and they are indoor pets. I wrote to the Adams company to complain and they sent me a big long letter saying how I needed to buy these other Adams products to do the job right = and make them a bit richer!!!Dont waste your money. Go get s bottle of cheep shampoo and give your pet a bath and let the soap soak on then for about 10 minutes and the flea's will suffacatem in the soap. I have used Dawn till I ran out of the small amount I had then used some left over Suave shampoo then I used my Panteene when I ran out of that. They all worked fine and I could have saved myself the money if I had tried the advice on shampoo's first off.
fleas be gone! I have not used a flea spray in a long time because I use Frontline Plus on all my dogs. But Frontline doesn't seem to be doing the job lately. I spray the dogs mid month. I used to use Adams because it had a pleasant smell. The have changed the formula and this does not smell so pleasant but it does kill the fleas and that's what it is suppose to do.
Not really as advertised. This is in no way a subsitute for Frontline or the other expensive monthly flea treatments. I find it works when the spray directly hits a flea. That is it.When I had an infestation on the pit bull it worked well due to his short coat but I tried to use it on the cat not only did she HATE that I was spraying something on her it didn't seem to penetrate her coat so the fleas were not effected. In no way do I believe the claim that it repels fleas. Thats BS.
Scary side effects I used this product per the directions on my 14lb tabby and he had a terrible reaction to it. 15 minutes after applying it I came upstairs to find him drooling on my keyboard and looking disoriented. I immediately bathed him however the symptoms persisted. The next morning he was switching between slightly dragging his hind legs and walking as if there were tape stuck to them. After a few days he seemed to recover however I would never recommend Adams Plus Flea & Tick Mist With Insect Growth Regulator to anyone with a cat. This product with certainly kill the fleas but it might kill your cat in the process. I threw my bottle in the garbage where it belonged and have had significantly better results with Bayer Advantage II for Cats.
THE WORST FLEA AND TICK PRODUCT ON THE MARKET I used this product for the first time three weeks ago. I followed instructions on the bottle. Now for the past three weeks my two dogs and I have not been able to get the burning and itching to stop on our skin. I have washed nearly everything in my home removed rugs entirely and have not been able to remove this toxic chemical from our furniture and the rest of our home.We can no longer sit on our sectional sofa. I have it covered with sheets and blankets to protect our skin but for now we can no longer enjoy our living room area. I have spoken with the manufacturer. They did a report for the EPA and had me speak to Health and Safety but this seemed to be more of a CYA action than anything else. So far no one has called me to tell me how to effectively remove this from my living room furniture so that we can use that room again. The expense that I have gone through having laundry and bedding washed and rewashed having professional cleaning people do an redo laundry to ensure the chemicals have been removed and removing costly Asian rugs from the various rooms in my home and placing them in the garage until we can determine if we need to dispose of them We are experiencing repeated exposure to this chemical because we cannot get rid of it!My recommendation Buy a different product! Avoid the disruption this may cause to you and your fellow loved ones.
Better than frontline I tried frontline on my cat and it didnt work at all i was mad. Than i tried adams spray and it works and its much cheaper than frontline.. Those that claim that there pets got bad side effects or it didnt work well first of all read directions it says specifically not to spray directly on your pet unless ofcourse its ment for that Which the spray isnt. Its for carpet use and pet beds. After spraying you have to stay away for an hour before you walk in the room or area you sprayed in. Dont forget dont leave it all just to the product and vaccum aswell specially the areas your pets spend time the most.
great value The price for the size makes it a great value. This doesn't smell as good as the regular Adams. It must be the IGR. But it works every bit as well.
Dangerous ! Don't use for cats! I follow the instructions and spray at my cat but after 10 min the cat leak himself and start having a weird foam looking saliva. I got so scared!I went to the emergency hospital so concerned that I didn't locked my house or wore a braThe vet told me that the Pyrethrins 0.180% the spray contain is very dangerous. My cat feeling better now but don't take the risk and try it on your cat.

Mycodex Environmental Control Aerosol Household Fantastic!

  • Fantastic! Mycodex Plus Environmental Control Aerosol Household Spray is amazing. The basement was full of fleas this year. One can sprayed onto the basement floor took care of the problem. Other products have been tried as well as flea bombs having been set off. Nothing else seemed to work. This stuff is A Plus. Would definitely use again if ever there was a need.
Best Flea Control Ever You can purchase this online at a very resonable price. It is VERY effective against fleas in the home. I generally use it once a year in the Spring and have NEVER had fleas in my home. Minimal odor and safe on all fabrics I have sprayed it on.
Mycodex Plus Enviromental Household Spray My daughter has moved into an older home that is a rental. She and her roommate have 2 dogs. This spring has been unusually warm and it appears that the dogs may have fleas. After vaccuuming applying flea protection to the dogs and spraying the carpet and furniture with Mycodex the fleas seem to be gone. One can did cover the square footage that was listed on the can.
Dud product This also isn't worth the money they want for it.
Cat won't go near.. I used the Mycodex Plus on furniture and baseboards for a dog and cat flea infestation. One of the items I sprayed was a 6 foot tall cat tower with 5 perches. The cat won't go on it now. I have tried catnip to entice her but she still won't have anything to do with it. I would like any suggestions that anyone might have. It is a rather expensive piece of useless furniture now..
Mycodex Plus Environmental Control Aerosol Household Spray Very effective at getting rid of indoor flea problem moderate severity in the Midwest. Light smell less intense & less chemically smell than Raid Flea Killer Plus Room & Carpet Spray. Do not yet know how well this product works on eliminating fleas long term as it's only been a couple of weeks. Dog had no problem using his dog bed after his bed was sprayed & aired. If you need a fine mist & are covering a small area e.g. just pet bed/furniture this spray nozzle could be better Raid Flea Killer Plus nozzle allows for more even mist as per instructions. The sprayer of my first can was defective squirting splatters/gobs of foam randomly rather than a mist e.g. splattering foam gobs onto the walls 10 inches away rather than the carpet even while can was pointed down at the ground. Had to get a 2nd can the seller sent new can right away at no charge. I prefer the flea spray for covering carpets rooms & pet furniture to the flea powder/granules as some people experience breathing issues from the fine airborne particles of the powder/granules long after vacuuming.
Didnt Work Here it is 2 months later and I still got fleas hopping around my place.nothing seems to be really workingI used this first so I wouldn't have to bomb the joint but I ended up still having to bomb the place..I've bought/used everything I could think ofand they just won't dieI'm ready to call in the air force to drop a real bomb on the joint.

  • POISON!! SERIOUSLY! **********EXTREMELY IMPORTANT**************THIS PRODUCT'S MAIN INGREDIENT IS PEPPERMINT OIL.THE ASPCA WARNS THAT PEPPERMINT IS POISONOUS TO CATS**********EXTREMELY IMPORTANT**************From the ASPCA's web site google ASPCA and peppermint for source Amazon does not allow hyperlinksIf ingested the peppermint plant and its oil could indeed potentially cause harm to your cat.
It's ok First I have to get my cats to hold still long enough to spray them and the bottle can be difficult to use because you have to pump it to get it to come out. It smells a lot better then most other flea stuff out there on the market but I try and just put it in the places where the fleas like to stay on them in the hard to read places. It works for small periods of time but you do have to spray it often to keep up with it.
cat poison Remember you get what you pay for. If you dont care about your cat go ahead and get this stuff. It almost killed mine in fact we are not sure if he is going to make it yet. He still will not eat or drink after 4 days of being lethargic. We have resorted to feeding him out of a syringe. He has a seizure every 20 min its so sad to see your friend who trusted you go through something like this. Go ahead search this subject you will be overwhelmed with cases just like mine. These natural oils used in this product namely peppermint clove are toxic to cats ASPCA. Stay away from these type of products ask a vet please dont hurt em.
Numb tongue after one spray to the tail This is going into the garbage can don't waste your money bad enough that I did. We sprayed our cat's tail and about 15 minutes later she was sitting with her tongue sticking out while her mouth was closed. Looking at her tail she must have licked it. I'm all for finding natural solutions vs. the toxicity of products like Frontline but this product is definitely not it.
Thrown in The Trash My cat has fleas so I was in petsmart looking to see what I could put on her while I waited for my order of capstar to get here. I didn't see any powder but I saw some sprays. I picked up this one over another one because it was one dollar cheaper. One dollar. It claimed to be natural and completely safe. So I get home and I spray her down. The first thing I notice is that the smell is overwhelming. It gave me a terrible headache that I had to lay down just to get it to go away. I can't imagine what it was like for her to be covered in the stuff. Her coat was pretty nasty looking but I imagine that's how it would be with any spray. A couple hours later I decide to read some reviews on it when I should have done this first. I was terrified.
not so bad for cats at all We have used this formula of plant oils to treat our 4 outdoor cats for years now. The first time using it the cats did react shocked by the odor and quite obviously disliked the taste even more when they tried to lick it off. After sulking quite dramatically for a day they were just fine again and have since become used to it. They do not try to lick it off anymore the first day and groom a bit more vigorously the second day after application. They are treated around once a month and the product IS very effective. Our cats are part of a seemingly wider cat community and of course the male cats tend to wander quite a bit. If we do not use the flea spray our cats will eventually start scratching. We have toddlers and kids in the house and are therefore wary of some of the other insect poisons useful to treat cats. Those may be odorless and tasteless but even the permethrins have been strongly implicated to have some relation to Alzheimers. Why risk it?The temporary discomfort of the bad smell to the cat we humans actually enjoy the scent is a small price to pay for our cats to enjoy a fulfilled life with our family.
Cat Has Flea Allergies I have many cats and live in Florida the flea capital of the world. One of my cats has severe flea allergies and will chew on herself constantly exhausting herself. She also gets scabby skin all over and hair loss where she's chewing. I have been using Advantage but it really doesn't help all that much. I also use a natural spray to calm the chewing but it needs to be used twice a day and does nothing to prevent her from getting bitten. Neither does the Advantage. I know how toxic spot on treatments are and I hate to use them.
DO NOT USE TOXIC TO CATS This product killed my cat a few hours after applying it DO NOT USE! The ingredient peppermint oil is EXTREMELY harmful to cats look up online.
Ticks Gone No cats hurt We have had two cats for over 15 years and this spring a stray was kind enough to leave us with four kittens under our back porch. When the kittens were about 8 weeks old I brought a few of them inside to see how the older cats would take it. Well we got fleas and in checking the kittens afterward I found that the two longerhaired ones had ticks also. Dealing with 16+ year cats and kittens and having a young child I did not want something poisonous. We got this and I used it on the almost 12 week old kittens and our two older kitties. I will admit that I was very sparing on the inside cats mainly because they aren't used to being restained at all and I was not persistent the kittens I treated as directed. It is three weeks later and the kittens are without ticks and not scratching all the time I see no fleas on them but yesterday I saw a flea on our indoor Tom. So I have reapplied to the indoor cats according to the directions this time and we'll see what happens. Also when I sprayed the areas of the porch frequently used by the kittens and had residue on me from applying it to them I noted amazingly that I did not get bitten by a single mosquito for two nights which never happens when I go outside. My wife noticed that there were fewer bugs in general around the porch and no ants coming inside on the backside of the house. The smell is strong but I like it. The cats mostly did not seem to mind being treated although our Tom sulked for two days last time he seems less affected this time. No kitties seemed distressed or in any way unhealthy three seemed slightly shy of petting for a day.So I think the
Avoid at all costs!! In the hopes of finding a less toxic product one that doesn't use the pyrethrin based pesticides that many of the products do I tried the Sentry Natural Flee and Tick drop. $500 dollar mistake!! Immediately following my application of the product to my cat she became very lethargic. I suspected something to be wrong right away so I attempted to wash off as much of the product as possible obviously not enough. Over the last couple of days she has had a lost of appetite been unable to maintain body temp and has been in a general malaise.Today approximately one week after the treatment she all but collapsed. We rushed her to the pet emergency center. She had sings of abdominal tenderness but in addition she was also very sensitive at base of her tail. The vet as an precautionary measure suggested xrays to rule out any possible trauma and to see if there was any internal bleeding. That all came back clear but during the xray she urinated bloody urine. With the xray showing nothing and bloody urine the Doctor could only speculate that she either had a Urinary Tract Infection or was dealing with acute poisoning. At that point I contacted the manufacturer Sergeant where I was connected with a Veterinary Tech at first and then later a Veterinary Toxicologist. Nothing concrete was said from the distributer but the level of attention I received leads me to believe that I am not the first caller. So now after spending $500 at the vet my cat received a bath in Dawn dishwashing fluid the same soap used to wash oiled wildlife is on a fluid regiment will be recieving antibiotics twice daily at a dose of 125cc of Amoxicillin and is still barely able to stand. It is utterly outrageous and completely inexcusable that a company produce a product which contains a know poison to an animal. When I spoke with the toxicologist at the ASPCA they asked if she has consumed Antifreeze in the same sentence as asking about peppermint oil.

  • This fast acting water based formula actually prevents fleas and ticks from living on your pet, including the deer tick, which may carry Lyme disease
  • It also prevents re-infestation and flea build up for 1 month
  • A fine mist spray which kills fleas and ticks for 7 days

  • Not used as directed I sleep on an air mattress on a hardwood floor coated with polyurethane and after waking up in the mornings with red welts all over my arms and legs I had had it. The only reason I bought this product was because it was the only flea chemical available at my local grocery store and despite not using it as directed this spray has worked excellently for me. I use it to treat the room and not the dog in fact there is no dog just three of my roommate's cats which aren't allowed in my room. First I found a flea and doused it in a rainstorm to see how it would react and the flea sputtered and died within 10 seconds. From there I treated the hot spots where I usually sit or sleep or long periods of time and noticed an immediate improvement. The chemical dried leaving white residue but it came away with a wet paper towel. Before I went to bed I squirted a protective ring around my mattress and even onto the mattress itself. This helped. For awhile I soaked a pair of socks in it and then wore the socks to bed and that managed to keep the fleas away without any noticeable effect on my skin. It's been about two weeks now since I started spraying the floor and my mattress with it and the fleas aren't completely gone yet I expect the eggs will continue to hatch for awhile but I no longer wear the socks and as soon as I see one I spray it. The problem has come under control. My only precaution would be to people in a situation like mine is since the spray is explicitly intended for dogs I would be careful exposing any other animals to the chemical. Also if my hardwood floor weren't coated in polyurethane I would worry about the chemical effects on the wood and I have no idea what it would do to carpeting. But for me great stuff I'll probably go out and buy a refill.
Extremely Wicked Product After having a pet sitter watch my 14 year old Golden Retriever for a week I came home to find her infested with fleas. By the time I realized that these little critters were all over my dog it was too late to bathe her. So I ran to WalMart bought Hartz UltraGuard Plus Flea and Tick Spray Hartz Flea Shampoo with Aloe and Hartz Flea and Tick 3 month drop supply.
Don't Be Fooled! Repellant Only! Does Not Kill Fleas! Even the description for this product states it will keep fleas off your pet not kill them. And that's about all it does and temporarily. I was pleased with the results after first use like eveeybody else. But then became very angry within the next several days.We sprayed the house dogs like the directions said. And noticed that the fleas were just running to parts of the dog we hadn't sprayed or soaked with this product. No probem. Just cover the dogs entire coat and get them all right? Well yes we did that and then noticed the fleas congregating between and around our pets eyes & mouth. And you can't just spray this crap in your dogs mouth or eyes. So we sprayed our fingers and rubbed it on to be safe. Well that seems to do it and we turned the dog loose which was already spitting fire to say the least. All the dogs ran around like wired crazy rolling and jumping from room to room to couch to bed. I bet my dogs could've won the olympics for some of their unholy jumps & leaps. So I considered if the fleas were being killed and irritating my dog in their death dance. I was wrong. The product itself set my dogs skin on fire and the fleas just happened to make a quick exit where my dogs rolled.Oh the fleas left my dog. But they then took up residence in my furniture and my beds. I couldn't sleep after my dog had gotten in to my bed AFTER he was treated. I never had a flea one get in my bed or my couch till I used this product. Then the fleas were back on my dog in 48hrs. Like a dummy I sparayed my dogs again and then all this accomplished was adding more fleas to my bed & couch. This product only chases fleas away temporarily. And it does not kill ticks. I sprayed one directly that was on one of our yard dogs and it only made it wiggle & squirm some. 4 minutes later no change and it was still alive. The only thing that killed it was my cigarette lighter.

  • Prevents reinfestation for seven months
  • Kills active flea infestations
  • Covers up to 2100 Square feet
  • Insector growth regulator
  • Prevents Flea Infestation

  • It works !!BUT!! This stuff works period. We had fleas everywhere. We tried lots of things borax etc. None had any effect. Our vet recommended this. They were GONE instantly. I did not see a single flea in the following 34 weeks. However it is 6 weeks later and we need to spray again. It's just the nature of fleas they lay eggs and those eggs hatch. I'm hoping they'll be gone for good after this second spraying.By the way because of the cold winter the fleas could not have come in from the outside in the past 6 weeks. It's likely that the eggs have hatched.
you are awesome can't believe how fast you are I am so glad I found yall because my vet doesn't sell this anymore and its the best there is and don't know what I would do without it.
Maybe I got a bad can but it's not working not even a little bit My indoor cat got infested badly by fleas. Once I realized what was going on I took him to the vet who cleared up the problems for my cat. And told me you're going to see some fleas now that they can't snack on your cat. He recommended spraying with Knockout to get rid of them and sold me a can.Well some has to be the understatement of the century. I do have to take responsibility for the fact that I didn't start immediately with the Knockout but I was headed out of town for a few days my cat went with me. When I got back my house in particular for some reason my only bathroom was so infested that I would routinely count 20 or more fleas on the tops of my feet.I stripped every bed in the house and even took down the curtains and did a massive round of laundry. In the meantime I sprayed every room with Knockout. I could hear the fleas popping up and down on the wooden/tile floors I don't have carpet at all and thought Die you suckers die.Except they didn't. Not even one little bit. I never got even a day's worth of reduced flea activity not even a few hours. And I still can't go into my bathroom without having them jump all over me. I swear I hear them laughing. If anyone has any idea of what to do next I'm all ears at least until the fleas eat them.
Only thing that worked! I had fleas in my home for about a month and a half. I used flea bombs once a week for about 4 weeks. I vacuumed and mopped and vacuumed and still had fleas. I was at my wits end I could not get rid of them. My children always had flea bites on them. One day I got smart and went to the vets office and bought this stuff. I got 2 cans and sprayed everywhere. I was a little skeptical but today it has been 1 week and 1 day since I sprayed and now there are absolutely no fleas to be found. I can't believe I finally found something that worked. This product is amazing. Please keep in mind you do need about a full week before they are all completely gone. We were still getting bit 24 days after I sprayed and I thought the product wasnt going to work but it did you just need to give it time to do it's job and knockout them fleas.
Works!! Amazing This does as it says.kills fleas on contact. Cant ask for a better product to get rid of fleas or a flea infestation.
antiflea fog I have used knockout a few times with good results. It helps keep flea populations at bay by going after the places where the little critters hide out. I use this in addition to advantage but you could likely just use advantage with similar results. All in all a great product and recommended by our vet.
Sanity in a can! And why it may not work for you My poor Labrador and I were going bonkers after dealing with fleas for two solid months. Since she's never had flea problems before I had no idea why she was biting herself raw until I took her to the veterinarian. After supplying me with a can of Knockout ES and two completely ineffective doses of Vectra 3D she told me to use those products and vacuum like crazy for a few weeks.I was reluctant to use this spray when I read the information on it.
Amazed !!!! I tried this product after reading the reviews and to my amazement and this was just 4 days ago they are gone just one or two here and there but I hear to give it up to two weeks and they will be entirely gone. My husband did the white sock test and it stayed white. no fleas hanging on ..
Good Stuff! We experienced a terrible flea infestation at our cottage this year affecting several dogs in the family and making them all terribly uncomfortable. We thought we had it beat until we got home and realized the fleas had travelled with us. A couple of doses of Novartis Capstar Flea Treatment and Knockout sprayed liberally about the house finally took them down. I shared these products with my sister and she too had great results.
Complete let down I have been battling fleas in my apartment for about three weeks after my very dedicated cat escaped repeatedly from my screened in patio and brought them back into my place. I removed my cat and took care of his flea issue. Now that my cat is itch free I've been the the sole victim. After reading the reviews left for virbac knockout area treatment I was beyond excited and optimistic about using the product in my apartment. I went to the vet and purchased a can. I had been vacuuming 3 times a day using salt borox foggers light traps you name it just about anything to get rid of these unbelievably annoying and frustrating insects. Nothing was working!I applied the entire can of knockout as directed all over the carpet upholstery and etc. I was convinced from reading the reviews that stated this product was amazing the only thing that worked that I would have the same results. After applying the treatment I left my apartment in the afternoon and returned that evening. Upon my arrival I was ready to declare victory against these disgusting blood suckers. However my optimism and excitement was short lived and I was crushed when I found more fleas happily jumping around the carpet.
