Great Great product especially for an outdoor dog. We have never had a problem with Bayer products for dogs or cats they really work to keep or pets free of fleas and ticks.
Never Recieved!!! I actually had to go to petsmart bc I never got my order. Love product works well. I use in conjunction with confrontis and I have been very satisfied. Switching to Trifexis but will still use topical.My rating would have been better if I had reserved item and customer service better.
My dogs are suffering I used this product on my two Welsh Corgis. Ever since they became extremely itchy and are in obvious constant discomfort. They twitch constantly because they are unable to scratch in the areas where they are itchy and their heads jerk to the side. They have also lost a lot of fur on their backs and sides this is not diet related because it became noticeably worse when the itching started and my dogs eat the best natural food available. It has been 2 weeks and they have gotten better but are still suffering with this. I even took them to the vet who had no clue what was causing the itching.
Advantix Had Strange Side Effects Advantix was our first ever use of a flea & tick product on our 7.5 month old French Bulldog puppy 25 lbsWe read about some of the dangers of using both Advantix & Frontline but knew that no topical medicine would be more dangerous. So we tried the Advantix last Friday night and within 5 hours our Frenchie began crying loudly. He lost basic motor skill function was walking into walls trying to scratch his way into the corner of a room and his ears were straight back and he was very fearful looking. After 24 hours he remained Off and so we took him to the Vet for closer examination. The Vet could not conclude what was wrong with him but she also said that they don't usually prescribe Advantix either. It's been three days now and our little guy is better but still not the same. There are other possible factors that make this particular situation questionable like that it's been brutally hot for the past few days but we will not be using Advantix again. This stuff scared the hell out of us.
Somewhat effective Our dog has had the drops on for about 2 weeks now and fleas are totally banished *BUT* we still end up picking 1 or 2 ticks off her every day. So it appears the product works well for fleas but is not very effective for ticks. I can't be sure there is anything better for ticks though and Amazon has the best price around for this product.
NOT WORTH THE RISK Been using Frontline for years on my 23lb Border Terrier with no problems. Thought I'd try K9 Advantix because I had read that it's more effective. BIG MISTAKE gave it to my dog last night and within 2 hours he was freaking out throwing himself on the ground whining panting and very hot to the touch he seems to be having a burning/itching reaction all over from this. Turns out we're not the first ones with this problem google advantix reaction and you'll see.
only product that works works very well. used everything else and i swear they got more fleas. with this all are gone you have to make sure that you are treating your home yard and car also or nothing works. can bathe with this product make sure shampoo says safe for spot on products though or will take off.
Good Product!! I have been using K9 Advantix products for over 3 years now and this product works just as good or even better than the original.
It works on poodles I'm not sure why there are so many negative reviews of Advantix II. I switched to it a a few months ago and it works just fine for my twoyearold standard poodle. Not a single tick or flea ever.
